Ninja Fireside360 Outdoor Heater and Firepit

The Ninja Fireside 360 is an 80,000BTU propane heater and firepit. The system is the first of its kind to provide 360 degrees of ambiance flames and IR heat. No setup required, no cleanup required.

I was the project lead engineer and was brought on in the middle of the prototype builds to lead the mechanical development through production.

New Product Development​

  • Traveled to China for 2 builds to support technical debugging, streamline decision making and provide US team voice on the ground

  • Work alongside tooling engineers, manufacturing engineers, quality engineers on site at the factory to work through cosmetic, quality and functional issues

  • Lead NPD point of contact to executive leaders about status of project, current problems and path to resolution

  • NPD design support for touchpoint of valve interaction, structural design and burner designs

  • Led discussions with UL over interpretation of CSA standards and design implementations

  • Owner of VAVE activities and lead ECN sign off, assuring all documentation and design requirements were met
